Amber discovered her passion for the beauty and wellness industry nearly two decades ago, starting as a receptionist in her very first salon. What intentionally started as a part-time job led to a colorful journey of pursuing a career in cosmetology. Since then, she has had the opportunity to inspire and serve within many facets industrywide.
Amber has maintained a cosmetology license and exponentially grown her salon business over the last 16 years, acquiring an array of advanced certifications along the way. Her relentless drive and never-ending journey in seeking out personal growth led her to California shortly after graduating from cosmetology school. There, she trained with Marvin Westmore, legendary Hollywood makeup artist, to become a certified high fashion, film, and editorial makeup artist. She has also had incredible opportunities to train and work alongside top-tier global artists and influencers within the hair industry.
A core driver that has led Amber to this expansive list of industry experiences and opportunities is her innate love and passion for education. So much so that it eventually motivated her to obtain her Cosmetology Instructors' license in 2008. This new venture launched an 11 year run of educating, leading, and guiding hundreds of students to successful careers and humbly serving in many strategic roles within the organization, all leading to becoming their Director of Operations and a shareholder partnership.
Amber currently resides in Chicago, IL, and serves as the Director of Operations for an elite franchise network of Beauty & Wellness schools that presently encompasses 30 academies and institutes nationwide. Her experience has made her a top contributor in elevating systemwide culture, efficiencies, and performance. Her down-to-earth, relatable and engaging coaching style has proven to drive primary goals and metrics for overall maximum operational growth. These contributions have made her a highly sought-after consultant, with a primary focus in Higher-Ed, Career Training School management, and Beauty Salons and Spas.
